DAVID MORRELL
Morrell will give a 4-hour workshop of
interest to writers as well as thriller aficionados, which will include
a video of the making of First Blood, the movie made from the
1972 novel in which RAMBO first appeared. Morrell will discuss
his writing career, the making of a best seller, how the publishing
industry has changed, common mistakes writers make, and will answer
questions from the audience.
Morrell is co-president and
co-founder of the International thriller Writers organization.
With 18 million copies in print, his work has been translated into 26 languages.
His latest novel, Scavenger, came out in March.

Globe's Centennial Book Fair
will be held to celebrate Globe's Centennial, in an historical building, 579 S. Broad Street, in Globe, AZ, with the active participation of
local authors from all over Arizona. Come see your favorite authors, hear
them talk, buy the books, and get them autographed. Also all the fun of any
book fair with vendors and entertainment. Among the authors,

 Arizona Book Festival
at the Carnegie Center - 1101 W. Washington Street - Phoenix. Local
and guest authors will autograph their books all day. Free entrance, ample
free parking, bargain books, entertainment, children activities, author
panels and presentations. Come meet the local writing and publishing
